These materials are designed to provide an overview on digital identity and encourage nonprofit organizations to think about why digital IDs matter to civil society, and how they can use what they learn about digital identity to protect their community’s interests. This workshop is intended for a beginner audience. It is designed for nonprofit professionals who are building their organizational skills and have little or no knowledge of Digital IDs.
Materials include: reading exercises with prompts for thinking about digital identity; a policy brief on the positive and negative effects of digital IDs; scenarios with prompts for thinking about why digital IDs matter to civil society; and resource lists curated by the Digital Civil Society Lab (DCSL).
