Data As A fuel: Transforming How We Evaluate, Measure + Act On Consumer Behavior

Silicon AngleAbhishek Mehta, CEO of Treseta provides his views on the challenges of being an entrepreneur, whilst pinpointing the trends and the blind spots of big data. In the following article from Valentina Craft at Silicon Angle, Abhisnhek shares fascinating insight into data as fuel for what he calls “a new Darwinian moment.”

I don’t think that the Big Data market is a technology market; this is a business revolution. Where you add value isn’t technology, is not data, is not science, but the combination of the three.” Lessons like this are indispensable. If we are to drive data use forward, we have to take note from those who do it best, and can anticipate market changes.

The strong language of both the article and the video interview demonstrate real passion for this development. Abhishek says very clearly that “data as fuel” will “fundamentally transform how we evaluate, measure and act on consumer behavior – from education all the way to fraud or disease management.” We certainly couldn’t agree more, and now is the time to invest both time and money into this data revolution.

Recorded live at #BigDataSV last month in Santa Clara, California, you can see the whole video interview with John Furrier and Jeff Kell from theCUBE below.
